Our AI generated collection of 100, Into the Mamboverse, was a proof of concept mint that spawned during the height of free mint szn. With all these free mints popping up, we wanted to do something different--Into the Mamboverse was the first NEGATIVE price mint! Every successful minter immediately received .1 AVAX directly from the minting contract.
Another aspect of free mint szn that we attempted to tackle was the prevelance of bots. With IN2MAMBO we built a special contract that required the NFTs to be minted from our own website! We released the final URL in a Twitter space with over 300 people, and can confidently say that not a single bot was able to mint an NFT. Like our other collections, IN2MAMBO royalties go to the MamboDAO treasury.
As a reward for early Vloaters minters as well as a celebration of the World cup, we released a special Vloaters: World Cup collection. All Vloaters holders were dropped a World Cup NFT--one for every 2 Vloaters they held. These Vloaters: World Cup NFTs had a lot of the same traits as the normal Vloaters, with the exception of each one having the jersey and flag of a team in the World Cup!
After the World Cup winner was crowned, all holders of that team's Vloaters split a 20 AVAX prize, which ended up being .75 AVAX for each Argentina Vloater!
Rugmies was Smitty's first NFT collection, released early 2022. The concept was pretty simple--80% of mint funds would be returned to holders in a lottery style "Rug pull" event.
This was inspired by collections such as Node Bears which were guaranteed to never return investor's money back. Despite only promising to return 80% of mint funds, we would outperform all the "node" NFTs that became popular at the time (and we did pretty easily).
The rug was eventually pulled after around 300 mints, and each Rugmie holder got 1 or 2 free Mambonauts as we moved into the Mambo Makers era.
